How it works

How it works

1. Get in touch.

You and your parent or guardian gets in touch with us to tell us where Niteo can help. This could be a course or two where you’re struggling or maybe you want to learn how to balance school with other activities in your life.

2. Meet up.

We set up an initial consultation for you and your parent/guardian in order for us to learn more about you. Here’s where we hybridize your schedule, taking in to account your academic preferences, career path, and extra-curricular activities. Together we'll determine which course you should take with us, and who your Niteo teacher will be. That way you can succeed in your core courses with Niteo and go to school with your friends for everything else.

3. Learn.

We teach you the courses you need to learn, one-on-one or in small groups. We always teach at your pace so that you can fly through the units you’ve already mastered and go slower where you need extra help.

4. Earn your credits.

Tests and exams are taken with us as soon as you feel prepared and confident. Each course you take through Niteo counts towards your Ontario high school credits.

5. Rinse and repeat.

We care about your success. You can continue to take more courses with us if you need to.

All set? Contact us today to schedule an initial consultation.

Super happy with the Niteo model for my high school daughter. Michael and his staff were able to bridge gaps left from a traditional teaching model and create a more personalized and successful learning process.

Boost your child’s confidence. Watch them overcome academic challenges.

Education in Ontario has changed dramatically over the years. Students are now able to choose where they complete individual credits—this means that they don't necessarily have to complete all 30 required credits through their school.

This is great news if your son or daughter has special educational needs. These might be learning disabilities, accommodation for busy sport or musical schedules, or gifted abilities. If they are having trouble with their grades for certain courses (for example, math, science, or English), Niteo can provide personalized teaching so that they can get help exactly where they need it most.

What makes me happy is how he engaged in true learning. I know this will help him with future courses.
— Poleen, Mississauga

We advocate for a hybrid schooling experience that delivers the best of both worlds: the personalized attention of private teaching combined with the social benefits of staying in the mainstream public school system. We are neither a tutoring service nor a private school. We augment traditional school by delivering courses on an individual level with the digital infrastructure that enables students to earn their credits online.

All course material is available online for students to access whenever they need outside of face-to-face teaching. Tests and assignments, which meet Ontario's standard curriculum, are completed virtually. To complement this incredible convenience, we teach your child the material in a way that helps them stay focused. Teachers will not move on to the next concept until the previous concept has been mastered.

At Niteo, our goal is to minimize your child’s frustration with school and maximize their ability to succeed. And with flexible scheduling, we can teach your child whenever and wherever works best for your family.

Niteo leverages all available resources to give your child the best possible one-on-one course credit experience. During our initial consultations, we'll determine which online school best suits their learning styles and preferences - all of our credit providers are Ministry inspected private schools. Your Niteo teacher's mission is to ensure that the content is taught in clear and engaging ways.

I am so happy with how this is working out for my son. I think he lost all confidence and this process will serve him so well for next year. I can’t believe he had a 47% last year and is now demonstrating such knowledge!

Both of my boys had the absolute pleasure of working with Mike throughout their time in high school. My older son always struggled with math, and my younger son, who had just been diagnosed with ADHD and a learning disability, would have a tough time staying focused in class and following the pace of the teacher. Because of Mike’s dedication and ability to explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-follow way, both boys were able to complete all of their math courses in the academic stream. One is currently studying at UOIT and the other will graduate this year with all four math credits!
